Richard has obviously had many interesting experiences in the Australian Outback and has developed an captivating way to describe the most intriguing aspects of each of these experiences. All of his books are good reads but this one is probably his best.
I have read all of Richard Holmes books and thought this was his best. It is an adventurous tail involving the Australian out back. The action scenes made shiveres run up my spine. Generally a good read
Very interesting book about the Outback in Australia, with a lot of authentic language and depictions of rough characters who live there. The plot centers around a couple of novices trying to sell diamonds and the adventures (often scary) they run into. They are a bunch of individuals and just being a part of their world is worth the read.
